Digital Media Planner - Los Angeles, CA

Candidate will manage broad range of different areas across all digital channels.


  • Ability to act as a mentor to junior team members on digital acumen and knowledge
  • Write RFPs / RFIs (one sheet briefs to partners)
  • Vet different partners in partner selection process to build a comprehensive media process
  • Bring partnership ideas agency should consider
  • Confer with Associate Media Director, clients and/or Account Services to establish media objectives and strategies for advertising campaigns
  • Assist and implement the management of daily tasks in support of the media products
  • Present media plans to Associate MediaDirector, Account Services, and/or Client for approval and make adjustments as necessary
  • Meet and communicate approved plans to MediaBuyers for implementation
  • Evaluate communication goals of potential media plans and make best recommendations
  • Study demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences
  • Calculate reach and frequency of potential media vehicles
  • Prepare media plan flow charts and manage directives to guide the execution process
  • Evaluate editorial content, ratings and audience composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach the target audience
  • Confer with media representatives to evaluate optimum use of budgeted funds to achieve marketing and sales objectives
  • Gather statistics, and from these data runs, chart and identify trends to make the numbers reflect recommendations supported by metrics
  • Delegate to, and work with, junior team members on daily tasks in order to grow their knowledge base and expand individual management skills
  • Conduct media research, evaluate data; develop points of view; understand system applications; and understand various media and their applications against client strategies/goals
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Client’s business
  • Keep current on media trends
  • Travel occasionally to supported markets orclient events


  • 3-4 years of digital agency experience with working knowledge of: Data management platform experience, Ad server experience (Double Click or Sizmek preferred), DCM, Programmatic landscape, DMP, DSP, SSP
  • Experience working with partners, media briefs/ RFPs
  • Experience handling negotiations and contracts with partners and holding them accountable to agreed on KPIs
  • Strong mathematical abilities, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Experience with, and working knowledge of, Search practices a plus
  • Multi-cultural experience a plus
